Key Highlights:
- WCW Pack arrives 13th November featuring five wrestling legends.
- Classic Fall Brawl WarGames arena included as surprise addition.
- Final DLC completes WWE 2K24’s extensive post-launch content roadmap.
In a noteworthy development for wrestling game enthusiasts, 2K Games has unveiled additional content for the upcoming WCW Pack, the fifth and final downloadable content package for WWE 2K24.
The publisher confirmed that alongside the previously announced roster additions, players will gain access to the iconic Fall Brawl WarGames arena, complete with its distinctive blue and yellow ring setup.
The WCW Pack, launching November 13th, introduces a roster of wrestling legends including Diamond Dallas Page, The Iron Sheik, Lex Luger, Mr. Perfect, and The Great Muta.
Notably, The Great Muta’s appearance marks his debut in a World Wrestling Entertainment video game, adding particular significance to this release.
The wrestler was known for his innovative style and unforgettable matches in WCW and NJPW.
WarGames Arenas Expand Match Options
The surprise inclusion of the Fall Brawl WarGames arena offers players enhanced match variety, supporting both traditional single-ring contests and the popular double-ring WarGames format.
This addition complements the existing 2023 Survivor Series: WarGames arena, providing wrestling fans with multiple venues for these specialty matches.
This final DLC pack joins an impressive lineup of post-launch content, following successful releases including the Nightmare Family Pack, featuring various iterations of Cody Rhodes alongside wrestling icon Dusty Rhodes, and the ECW Punk Pack, which brought CM Punk back to virtual wrestling alongside ECW stalwarts The Sandman and The Dudley Boyz.
However, prospective buyers should note that historical patterns suggest limited availability for WWE 2K DLC content.
Previous iterations have seen online services discontinued within two years of release, often coinciding with content being delisted from digital storefronts.
For reference, WWE 2K23’s online features are scheduled to conclude on 6th January 2025, while WWE 2K22’s servers were disconnected less than two years post-launch.
Looking ahead, industry observers anticipate the reveal of WWE 2K25 in early 2024, with a likely March release window.
This upcoming release will presumably impact WWE 2K24’s long-term support, following the franchise’s established pattern of service transitions.
For wrestling enthusiasts, particularly those with an affinity for WCW’s golden era, the impending DLC pack represents a valuable addition to WWE 2K24’s extensive roster, though the limited window of availability suggests prompt acquisition may be prudent.
