  • Additional post-launch DLC packs will further expand the 200+ wrestlers over 2024

More playable superstars have been revealed for WWE 2K24’s launch roster across weekly Twitter announcements, including both debuting wrestlers from NXT and returning legends from previous games.

NXT Standouts Join WWE 2K for First Time

Among several called up names now confirmed, NXT is receiving expanded representation in WWE 2K24 through talents like Cora Jade, Roxanne Perez, and 2021 NXT Breakout Tournament winner Carmelo Hayes.

Hayes and Perez specifically have broken through as rising singles stars of late, mixing excellent in-ring skills with natural charisma.

They’ll be joined by first-timers Thea Hail, Wolfgang, “Stacks” Lorenzo of Hit Row, and Fallon Henley in showcasing NXT’s next generation. Fan favourites not yet featured like Lash Legend and Kiana James may still make the cut too prior to launch.

Modern NXT continues building momentum with 2K24 after last year’s introduction for formerly known superstars like Bron Breakker, Cora Jade, Tony D’Angelo and others.

Returning Favourites Help Anchor Star-Studded Roster

In supplementing newer talent with main roster mainstays, WWE 2K24 brings back all the biggest superstars one would expect like Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Bianca Belair, Kevin Owens, Asuka, Becky Lynch, and Rhea Ripley.

Noticeable omissions joining staples this year include LA Knight, Rick Rude, current NXT champ Bron Breakker, and 2021 breakout solo act Carmelo Hayes, now a marquee addition.

Legends Roster May Be Biggest Yet

The Macho Man Randy Savage will be a playable legend

And that’s before even considering the legends roster, which already includes greats like Sting, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Dude Love, Macho Man Randy Savage, and the Undertaker.

Hulk Hogan was recently added too, possibly portending an expanded legends presence. With franchise cornerstones like Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Trish Stratus, and Chyna likewise back, the foundations seem well laid for a dream WWE 2K24 crossover dream card.

Post-Launch Plans Further WWE 2K24 Content

As deep as the launch collection of over 200 wrestlers looks to be, this latest entry has only begun building its ultimate world-spanning wrestling video game roster.

An additional five DLC packs are planned over the course of 2024 alongside the separate MyFaction mode’s regular content updates.

Specifically, purchasing the 40 Years of Wrestlemania deluxe edition includes early unlock access to all DLC packs when they release rather than individually.

And pre-ordering any version of WWE 2K24 nets buyers the “Nightmare Family Pack” straight away, letting players control Cody Rhodes variants like Stardust, his father Dusty Rhodes, and their patriarch Superstar Billy Graham.
