Celebrate Winter Wonderland with Overwatch 2 Twitch Drops
Overwatch 2’s annual Winter Wonderland event brings festive cheer with exciting activities, challenges, and a massive Twitch Drops campaign.
This year, players can earn 10 holiday-themed cosmetics, including three coveted Epic skins—Ugly Sweater Soldier: 76, Gingerbread Ana, and Reindeer Orisa by tuning in to Overwatch 2 streams on Twitch.
With rewards valued at over $30 in Overwatch Coins, this marks the largest Twitch Drops campaign in the game’s history.
Whether you’re a dedicated collector or a casual fan, these freebies are not to be missed, especially since Amazon Prime Gaming freebies have been discontinued this year.
How to Earn Overwatch 2 Twitch Drops
Unlocking Twitch Drops is easy and only requires linking your Twitch and Battle.net accounts. Follow these steps to ensure you’re ready to collect:
- Log in to your Twitch account.
- Go to Connections in the settings menu.
- Link your Twitch account to your Battle.net account by clicking Connect and logging into Battle.net.
Once linked, watch any Overwatch 2 streamer between now and 7 January 2025, 11:58 AM PST, to earn rewards at these intervals:
- 2 hours: Cozy Snowglobe spray
- 3 hours: Cozy Reindeer namecard
- 4 hours: Winter Chic Widowmaker player icon
- 6 hours: Spider Chic weapon charm
- 7 hours: Shaken Snowglobe spray
- 8 hours: Cozy Cassidy player icon
- 9 hours: Winter Chic Widowmaker namecard
- 11 hours: Ugly Sweater Soldier: 76 Epic skin
- 13 hours: Gingerbread Ana Epic skin
- 15 hours: Reindeer Orisa Epic skin
Don’t forget to claim each reward in your Twitch inventory to ensure it appears in your Overwatch 2 account.
New Cosmetics and Returning Favourites
While some rewards, like Ugly Sweater Soldier: 76 and Gingerbread Ana, are returning favourites from the first title, others—such as sprays and namecards—are brand new.
These additions complement existing Winter Wonderland Legendary skins, including Merry Marionette Echo, Cozy Cassidy, and Winter Chic Widowmaker, which are obtainable through in-game challenges.
Last Christmas saw Blizzard release a Jingle Belle Mercy cosmetic in the shop that was highly anticipated by the community. Though, as previously mentioned, this is bay far the biggest rewards content the FPS has ever delivered.
More Overwatch 2 Events and Experiments
In addition to Winter Wonderland, the Avatar: The Last Airbender event runs until 30 December, offering unique rewards like the Katara Mei Epic skin.
The Anime crossover comes after a successful My Hero Academia collab a few months back in September.
Players can also participate in the 6v6 gameplay experiment, which features the 2-2-2 Role Queue until 7 January 2025.
Stay tuned for the second experiment, Min 1, Max 3, launching 21 January through 4 February, to showcase your festive loot in fresh matches.
Don’t miss this opportunity to expand your Overwatch 2 collection with festive Winter Wonderland cosmetics.
Even if you’re logging in for in-game challenges or simply enjoying Twitch streams, there are plenty of rewards to unlock this holiday season.
