EA Vancouver continues to enhance EA Sports UFC 5 with fresh content and gameplay tweaks. The January 9th update (Patch 1.18) introduces Azamat Murzakanov, a new undefeated fighter, alongside three new alter egos, gameplay adjustments, and bug fixes.
Available from 1 PM ET, the update promises no downtime and is set to keep the player base engaged with meaningful additions.
Azamat Murzakanov Joins UFC 5’s Roster
The highlight of the update is the inclusion of Azamat Murzakanov in the Light Heavyweight division. Known for his undefeated record and formidable power, Murzakanov arrives with:
- 97 Power Punch rating,
- 95 Accuracy,
- 94 Ground Striking.
These stats make him a force to be reckoned with in the octagon, catering to players seeking a powerful, precision-focused fighter. The developers are constantly looking to add fighters to their roster, with the likes of boxing legends Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson added late last year.
Three New Alter Egos and More Updates
Alongside Murzakanov, players can look forward to three new alter egos, though the specifics remain under wraps.
EA Vancouver also announced additional alter egos scheduled for Fight Week on January 14th, hinting at nostalgic favourites that long-time fans will appreciate.
To streamline navigation, the More Offers Store now features a “Sort by Release Series” option, allowing players to filter content such as Pride, Prime, and Champion series.

- Updating AE UFC 309 Stipe and Jones portraits to match glove updates.
EA Sports UFC 5 Joins Xbox Game Pass Ultimate
The update coincides with a significant milestone for EA Sports UFC 5, as the fighting title will join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate via EA Play on January 14th.
While this addition boosts the game’s visibility, it will be exclusive to the subscription’s Ultimate tier.
