However, access to these levels requires completion of the main game, ensuring only seasoned players can take on these latest trials.

The Roadmap for New Content

The update follows a structured rollout, ensuring a steady stream of new experiences:
• 13 February: Tick-Tock Shock – A precision platforming test where timing is everything.
• 20 February: Thrust or Bust – A gravity-defying challenge demanding aerial control.
• 27 February: Cock-A-Doodle-Doom – A chaotic, high-risk stage filled with hazards.
• 6 March: Hard to Bear – Rugged terrain and environmental dangers take center stage.
• 13 March: Armored Hardcore – A brutal final challenge requiring mastery of all mechanics.

Beyond the core adventure, each completed level unlocks a Time Attack mode with online rankings, allowing players to compete globally for the fastest completion times.

This addition ensures longevity, fostering engagement beyond just finishing the levels.

Enhanced Experience for PS5 Pro Owners

For players on PS5 Pro, the update also brings an automatic resolution boost while maintaining a smooth 60fps.

Unlike games that offer separate graphics modes, Astro Bot dynamically optimises performance to ensure a seamless experience without manual adjustments.

Team Asobi via the PlayStation blog, expressed deep gratitude towards the Astro Bot community, highlighting player enthusiasm as a driving force behind the title’s ongoing support.

The title recently got a Winter Wonder Update and also picked up the coveted GOTY 2024 prize at the recent Game Awards.

With this latest update, the platformer not only extends its replayability but also solidifies its status as a challenging yet rewarding adventure.
