TEKKEN 8 – Season 2 Spring & Summer Announcement Trailer

Announced during EVO Japan 2025, Fahkumram headlines Season 2’s character roadmap and arrives this Summer across all platforms.

First introduced in Tekken 7: Fated Retribution, Fahkumram is a towering striker who fuses traditional Muay Thai with brutal aggression.

His fighting style focuses on powerful knees, elbows, and crushing clinch pressure, making him one of the most physically imposing characters in the series.

While his Tekken 8 storyline remains under wraps, his reintroduction raises questions about the larger narrative, especially after Heihachi Mishima’s unexpected return.

Fahkumram marks the second legacy character added in Season 2 following Anna Williams’ arrival, with another veteran planned for Autumn, followed by a completely new fighter and stage this Winter.

Season 2 Update Timeline

The upcoming months are stacked with post-launch content. Bandai Namco has outlined three major updates:

Version 2.01 – Launches May 13th

  • Tekken Ghost Showdown (Free) – A new mode in Tekken Fight Lounge
  • Cyber Phantom Pack & Vigilante Tech Pack (Paid) – Cosmetic bundles via Tekken Shop
  • Balance Adjustments – Competitive tuning for ranked and tournament play

Version 2.02 – Launches June 3rd

  • Karate Kid: Legends Collaboration – Crossover content rollout
  • Free Hoodie Item – Available in Tekken Shop
  • Classic Costumes Return – Includes Kuma (Tiger), Panda (Calico), and Dragunov outfits
  • Balance Adjustments – Ongoing gameplay refinement

Version 2.03 – Launching Summer 2025

  • PAC-MAN Collaboration – Celebrating PAC-MAN’s 45th anniversary
  • Battle Stage: Pac-Pixels – Pixel-art stage inspired by the arcade icon (Paid, Season 2 Pass)
  • Free Fight Pass Items – Including plushie ghosts, T-shirts, PAC-MAN ball, and more
  • Premium Cosmetics – PAC-MAN-themed headgear, emotes, and accessories
  • Balance Adjustments – Continued effort toward fair play and variety

Tekken 8 launched to strong reviews and has shipped over three million copies worldwide as of February 2025.

Despite a brief backlash to Version 1.05’s sweeping balance changes, Bandai Namco acknowledged community concerns and launched the emergency patch that managed to smooth things over for now.

With Fahkumram on the way, a crossover-packed Summer ahead, and hints of more legacy fighters returning, Tekken 8 is fighting back!
