Planet Coaster 2 Reveals Biggest DLC Yet With Customisable Parades and Over 500 New Scenery Pieces

Key Highlights:

  • Planet Coaster 2 is getting its biggest DLC yet with the new Parades expansion.
  • Players will be able to create and customise moving parades with their own routes and floats.
  • A free Update 10 launches alongside the DLC with Vista Points, Event Points and more.

Frontier Developments has unveiled Planet Coaster 2 Parades, the largest expansion released for the park management simulator so far. Arriving on June 25 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, the DLC introduces an entirely new parade system alongside additional rides, attractions and hundreds of new decorative pieces.

For the first time in the series, players will be able to create fully dynamic parades that travel through parks on custom routes. Park managers can either start with blueprints or design their own floats from scratch using more than 250 parade-specific scenery items. Entertainers can walk beside the procession, ride on floats or lead the celebrations through the park.

Frontier showed off several examples in an announcement trailer, including Viking-themed ships and colourful unicorn-inspired floats, giving players more ways to bring their parks to life.

The expansion also adds five new rides. Thrill seekers can build the HPC Buzzard, a compact single-rail coaster featuring sharp turns and inversions, while the V&N Narrow Drop delivers a smaller but intense drop coaster experience. A new FD Vision Electric Trolley transport ride provides guests with a more relaxing way to travel around the park.

Two new flat rides are also included. JUMPIN’ DISC offers chaotic spinning action, while LITTLE DIPPER introduces a family-friendly mini drop tower aimed at younger visitors. Just make sure you’re using the ride synchronisation tool for maximum effect.

Creativity is further expanded with a new Small Town Americana theme. More than 500 scenery pieces inspired by classic town squares and nostalgic park plazas will allow players to create main streets, cafés, storefronts and decorative areas that blend with existing themes.

Night-time parks are receiving extra attention too. The DLC includes 19 new firework emitters, six additional music tracks and 10 ambient sound effects, featuring everything from bustling bakeries and barbershops to the sounds of classic car engines.

Alongside the paid expansion, Frontier will release free Update 10 for all players. The update brings back Vista Points from the original Planet Coaster, introduces Event Points that can trigger guest activities, allows transport tracks to cross one another and adds new celebration scenery, illuminated entertainers and souvenir mementos for guests.

Planet Coaster 2: Parades launches on June 25 and will cost £14.99 / $18.99 / €18.99. The base game is required to access the new content.
