A new retailer listing suggests Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced could be heading to Nintendo Switch 2, although Ubisoft has not announced a version for the console.
French retailer E.Leclerc currently lists the Advanced Pro Wireless Switch 2 Controller – Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced in its Nintendo Switch 2 pre-order catalogue. The accessory costs €47.90 and is marked for release on September 22, 2026.
The listing immediately raises the possibility that Edward Kenway could arrive on Switch 2 around the same time. However, the controller itself does not confirm a September 22 game release.
Lexip’s official controller page identifies the accessory as an officially licensed Ubisoft product and confirms Nintendo Switch 2 compatibility. Crucially, it also supports PC and the original Nintendo Switch through an included 2.4GHz USB-C dongle, meaning its existence does not depend on a native Switch 2 version of Black Flag Resynced.
I think that’s important here. E.Leclerc placing a Black Flag Resynced-branded controller directly inside its Switch 2 pre-order catalogue is certainly interesting, but the controller’s multi-platform support stops the listing from becoming evidence of an actual release date.
Ubisoft’s current launch information still names PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC as the available platforms, alongside supported streaming services. Nintendo Switch 2 remains absent from the official platform list.
A Nintendo version would nevertheless give Black Flag Resynced another portable option. Ubisoft had the PC release Steam Deck Verified before launch, allowing the remake to run on Valve’s handheld from day one.
There would also be a sizeable existing audience for another version. Black Flag Resynced sold more than two million copies on launch day across its original three platforms, making it one of the strongest publicly disclosed Assassin’s Creed launches.
For now, September 22 belongs only to the controller listing. Unless Ubisoft or Nintendo announces a Switch 2 edition, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced remains officially available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
