Key Highlights:
- No Man’s Sky patch 7.06 automatically removes broken Radiant Pillar duplicates created by a rare Expedition transfer bug.
- Spacewalking camera movement and Gravitino Coil targeting on space hulks have also been fixed.
- The patch is live on Steam first, with other platforms still waiting for release.
Now live on Steam, No Man’s Sky Cosmos patch 7.06 fixes a bizarre ship duplication problem alongside spacewalking, salvage and stability issues introduced or exposed since September’s major update.
The strangest fix affects players who transferred a Corvette from an Expedition save to their main save and then immediately redeemed an Expedition reward ship. In rare cases, that sequence could fill the ship collection with multiple broken copies of the Radiant Pillar.
Affected players should not need to manually clear them out. Hello Games says the broken ships will be automatically removed from impacted saves after installing the update.
Patch 7.06 also fixes the camera unexpectedly changing direction when rolling during a spacewalk and corrects Gravitino Coil targeting while collecting objects from space hulks.
Both mechanics were introduced or heavily expanded through No Man’s Sky Cosmos Update 7.0, which opened spacewalking to conventional starships and turned hulks into destructible salvage locations where objects can be physically collected.
Stability fixes are included too. Hello Games has addressed a crash affecting some Nvidia GPUs on PC and a separate rare PS5 crash that could occur during loading screens.
I think the automatic Radiant Pillar clean-up is the most useful change here because this was not simply a visual duplication bug. The broken ships could occupy space in a player’s collection, so fixing the underlying problem while cleaning affected saves removes the need for players to untangle the result themselves.
This is already the seventh patch released since Cosmos arrived on 9 September, following 7.01, 7.02, 7.03, 7.03.1, 7.04 and 7.05. Those updates have progressively addressed problems across space stations, alliances, hulks, Expeditions, settlements and the new deep-space systems.
The official Cosmos 7.06 patch notes currently confirm that the update is available on Steam, with other platforms due to receive it as soon as possible.
