The PlayStation 4 Officially Announced By Sony

Sony PlayStation 4

Last night at the meeting in New York City, we told you that there would be an announcement by Sony. We also said that they would unveil the new PlayStation 4 console. We were right, but the digital giants didn’t show an image of what the next generation console would look like in appearance.

This seems like a strange call by Sony, and most of the world would have been expecting at least a still image or a screenshot of the new PS4. The controller has been leaked online and we had covered a post on it a couple of days back. Thus far though, that is all gamers are going to get for the time being anyway.

There was a taster of gameplay and graphics as Sony demonstrated the new PS4 and it’s potential visually. The big 8-core AMD processor was well at work last night as stunning graphics were revealed to the watching public.

The PlayStation 4 will have a built in Blu-Ray player, USB 3.0 ports which will come in handy. Also it will be equipped with bult in Bluetooth and an 8GB worth of RAM.

The popular PlayStation plus will be completely revamped as Sony want it to be more on the social scale for the future. A really cool new button that will be ready to use on the new PS4 controller will enable players to share gameplay videos straight away with their friends online.

Gamers will also be able to be a bit nosy and see what specific video games all their friends have purchased recently. Players can even opt in to join a game live as it’s being played.

What do you think about all these cool new features for the PlayStation 4 console? Has the presentation by Sony persuaded you to buy the PS4 instead of the Xbox One? Let us know in the comments box below, or post a comment on our Facebook page.
