All Systems Go Later This Year
The Elder Scrolls Online will officially launch and be live later on this year having been announced way back in May 2012. The massively multiplayer online role-playing game has been in development for well over five whole years now. The MMORPG is being developed by ZeniMax Online Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks.
There should be a ton of news and even a full-on showcase at the upcoming Gamescom event which should provide us with more details.
ESO takes place in the same fictional world of Tamriel as the single-player Elder Scrolls games. However, in ESO, the entire continent of Tamriel is available for players to explore, including regions like Skyrim, Morrowind, High Rock, and more. The game spans multiple eras, allowing players to experience different periods in the history of Tamriel.
ESO features a rich and expansive lore that builds upon the established lore of The Elder Scrolls series. The game takes place during the Second Era, a time of political upheaval and conflict. Players embark on a quest-driven storyline that involves a Daedric threat, the interplay between different factions, and the fight for control over the Imperial City.
The title combines the immersive world-building and storytelling of The Elder Scrolls series with the social and cooperative elements of an MMORPG. Players create their own unique character, choosing from various races and classes, and explore Tamriel in a persistent online world. The game offers a mix of exploration, questing, combat, and player-versus-player (PvP) battles, providing a diverse and dynamic gameplay experience.
As soon as we hear any news regarding this development, we’ll let you know by posting a story on it.
