DC Entertainment and Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment have announced today that Batman: Arkham Origins is currently under development. The game is in it’s early stages and when out, be available for the Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Nintendo Wii U.

Origins will be a prequel game that will be set some considerable years before Batman: Arkham City and Batman: Arkham Asylum, which were the first two titles in the series.

Players will play the role of a very young and in-experienced Bruce Wayne as his alter ego Batman. Gotham City will be a peaceful environment in which there is no crime or corruption. Origins will lead up to the rise of the criminal underworld and reveal all the events in order.

Batman must grow in maturity and expand his fighting skills as he sets his eye on becoming the Dark Knight. In the game, gamers will get to meet and greet several of the series most popular characters and forge some interesting relationships with them in the process.

Also in the news regarding the Batman video games, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate has been announced by Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment. This game will become available on the PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS once released.

Armature Studios are the ones that have taken up responsibility to develop the game. The storyline will continue in Blackgate with the console version story expanding as players seeks to learn more of The Dark Knights interesting and hidden past.

The official release date for both of the Batman titles worldwide is October 25th, 2013.
