World of Warcraft Movie Heading For 2015 Release

It has been revealed this week that the upcoming World of Warcraft movie will begin shooting in early 2014 next year. WOW is being produced by Legendary Films in a collaboration with Atlas and Blizzard Entertainment respectively.

The Warcraft movie will depict the conflict between the human kingdom of Stormwind and the orcish Horde, delving into the origins and motivations of both factions. The film features a mix of live-action and CGI elements to bring the fantastical World of Warcraft to life.

Notable Cast & Characters For The WOW Movie

Here’s a full list of the characters and cast who appear in the movie:

Anduin Lothar: Played by Travis Fimmel, Anduin Lothar is the lead protagonist and a knight of Stormwind. He serves as a key figure in the defense of Azeroth against the orc invasion.

Durotan: Played by Toby Kebbell, Durotan is the chieftain of the Frostwolf Clan among the orcs. He questions the motives of the Horde and seeks to find a better future for his people.

Garona Halforcen: Played by Paula Patton, Garona is a half-orc, half-draenei character who becomes a crucial bridge between the two factions. She is torn between her loyalty to the orcs and her desire for peace.

Medivh: Played by Ben Foster, Medivh is a powerful Guardian and the protector of Azeroth. However, he is haunted by a mysterious dark presence that threatens to consume him.

Gul’dan: Played by Daniel Wu, Gul’dan is a powerful orc warlock and the main antagonist of the film. He wields dark magic and plays a significant role in the orc invasion of Azeroth.

Grommash Hellscream, a prominent character in the Warcraft lore, appears in the Warcraft movie. Grommash Hellscream was portrayed by actor Robert Kazinsky. He is a legendary orc warrior and chieftain of the Warsong Clan. Grommash Hellscream plays a crucial role in the film as a respected and influential figure among the orcs, participating in the conflict between the Horde and the humans of Stormwind. His character arc and actions have significant implications for the overall story of the movie.

Duncan Jones who directed Source Code and Moon has been lined up as the films director. The films producer Charles Roven told Slash Film: “First quarter 2014 we’re going to shoot that movie. “We’re moving forward; obviously Legendary is making that film and I’m having a great time with Duncan.”

WOW is to written by Charles Leavitt who was the screenwriter for Blood Diamond. The movie has been set a release date for 2015 with more details to follow over the course of the year.
