Gaming giants SEGA has recently announced Sonic Origins Plus, an enhanced edition of the previously released collection of digitally remastered Sonic classics from when they were released in 2022. This news comes as no surprise, as the Korean ratings board had already leaked information about the game in February.

While Sonic Origins contained four games in one package, Origins Plus goes above and beyond by including an additional 12 Sonic games for Game Gear. Each of these games will be playable in the museum. Moreover, Origins Plus provides players with the ability to play as Amy in Sonic The Hedgehog 1-3 and Sonic CD, play as Knuckles, and access all the released DLC content.

Fans can expect a variety of different modes, zones, and challenges, including Classic Mode, which offers the original titles with a retro look and classic challenges. Anniversary mode features a full-screen display and infinite lives to prevent game overs.

Sonic Origins Plus will be released in boxed and digital form in time for the iconic blue headghogs birthday on June 23rd, and will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The game is priced at $39.99.
