A brand new cinematic trailer for the post-apocalyptic zombie action role-playing game Dead Island 2 has been released by Dambuster Studios. The trailer takes us through a series of intriguing scenes, including a creepy abandoned country club with chemtrails overhead, a bloody swimming pool, and a rundown diner. The most unique shot is of eyeballs floating in martini glasses, adding an unsettling element to the already eerie tone.
The initial reveal of Dead Island 2 was in 2014 with a vibrant setting of palm trees, lively tone, and catchy music. Despite changing hands between developers multiple times over the nine-year development period, Dambuster Studios seems to be staying true to the original concept.
Similar to its predecessor, this version seems to be more enjoyable with companions via multiplayer modes. Facing a zombie apocalypse alone is a daunting task at the best of times, so it’s always best to have someone by your side. While Dambuster Studios’ new title might not be considered a masterpiece, it promises to be a fun experience.
Dead Island 2 is set to launch on April 21st for Windows PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X.
