In the recent This Week at Bungie blog entry, it has been announced that Destiny 2 players can expect new Strand weapons to be introduced in Season 21. Strand, the newest elemental manifestation in the game, was first introduced as part of the Lightfall expansion. The game now features new Strand-themed subclasses for Warlock, Hunter, and Titan, as well as weapons. However, many players expressed disappointment with the limited number of Strand weapons available. Bungie has responded by assuring players that more Strand weapons will be added in the upcoming season.
Currently, Destiny 2 only has 11 Strand weapons, with the Exotic Auto Rifle Quicksilver Storm being exclusive to Lightfall pre-orders. From the remaining 10, only six can be crafted, and three of those can only be found in the Root of Nightmares raid. This means that obtaining Strand weapons can be a challenge, and not all weapon subtypes are represented.

Bungie also announced a list of weapons that will be rotating out of the Lightfall weapon pool and two new Strand weapons will be entering, which will cover weapon subtypes that previously had no Strand representation. The Two Strand Weapons
The first of these new weapons is a Strand Fusion Rifle, which can only be obtained by playing the Iron Banner game mode. While it is hinted that crafting may be unlocked for these new weapons, no further details have been shared by Bungie at this time. The second weapon is a Strand Linear Fusion Rifle, which will be exclusive to the Gambit game mode. Destiny 2 enthusiasts will have to wait until Season 21 to get their hands on these new Strand weapons.
The upcoming season is expected to introduce more Strand weapons to the game, signaling a potential increase in the variety of Strand weapons available. Destiny 2 is out right now on Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5.
