Capcom, the reputable developer and publisher behind fan-favourite franchises such as Devil May Cry, Mega Man, and Resident Evil, is revving up for its next big launch, Street Fighter 6, after celebrating its most profitable year on record. Yet, while fighting game enthusiasts eagerly await June 2nd, Monster Hunter devotees gear up for the last chapter of new content for Monster Hunter Rise via an impending digital event.

What to Expect in the Final Digital Event

Historically, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak’s Digital Events have been livestreamed showcases centred around updates, interactive sessions with the game developers, unveiling of new monsters and quests, and more for Capcom’s recent blockbuster action RPG, Monster Hunter Rise, along with its popular expansion pack, Sunbreak.

The last digital event, held in April, touched on update Ver. 15 and the Free Title Update 5, introducing players to an array of features such as the Elder Dragon Amatsu, weapon action refinements, new skills, quests, cosmetics, and more. The forthcoming digital event promises to deliver fresh intel to players and is touted to end on a high note as it marks the final one in the series.

Scheduled for June 7 at 7:00 a.m. PT/10:00 a.m. ET, the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Final Digital Event will be aired on Twitch. Attendees can look forward to insights on the bonus update Ver. 16, expected to fix a bug causing deletion of crafting materials for the title’s players.

Developers from the MH team will also be present at the event, reflecting on the journey of developing Rise and Sunbreak. The session will be headed by Ryozo Tsujimoto, the producer of the Monster Hunter series, and Yasunori Ichinose and Yoshitake Suzuki, the game directors of Rise and Sunbreak.

Players’ Wishlist for the Last Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Digital Event

Following the release of its teaser, Monster Hunter Rise has witnessed an outpouring of love from its fan base, expressing gratitude to Capcom for the exceptional gaming experience. Player discussions on potential announcements during the event are rife, with many speculating about the next instalment in the series.

While Capcom has remained tight-lipped about its next mainline Monster Hunter project, there are rumours of a spin-off in the pipeline. Even though the fantasy-themed action RPG may not be privy to new content after the forthcoming event, players will continue to find joy in the countless hours of monster-hunting action that the RPG offers.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is available on Windows PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
