As the countdown for Summer Game Fest commences and the anticipated Ubisoft Forward looms on the horizon, Ubisoft is offering a taste of Ubisoft+ for free, timed perfectly to coincide with the publisher’s grand event. First introduced in 2019, Ubisoft+ affords subscribers the pleasure of delving into the vast and celebrated repository of franchises, stretching from the thrilling wilderness of Far Cry to the historical adventures of Assassin’s Creed and much more.

Anticipated Titles Teased Ahead of Ubisoft Forward

Ubisoft Forward, traditionally held in September, has in 2023 synced its calendar more closely with the Summer Game Fest. Ubisoft is once again set to fuel the summer gaming excitement with numerous sought-after titles that enthusiasts are itching to explore further during the event.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage, showcased at last month’s PlayStation’s Showcase with its release date announced for October 12th, is among the most imminent of Ubisoft’s upcoming games and is predicted to make another appearance, possibly with expanded gameplay, on Ubisoft’s home turf.

Meanwhile, game enthusiasts would undoubtedly welcome news updates on Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Ubisoft’s Star Wars offering, two of the publisher’s much-anticipated future releases that aren’t under the Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, or Tom Clancy umbrellas. However, lovers of these Ubisoft stalwart franchises are in for a treat with the announcement of a new trial. In celebration of its June 12th event, the company took to Twitter to declare the news of a seven-day free trial of its subscription service, Ubisoft+, a deal available until June 21st.

Free Ubisoft+ Trial: A Bounty of Games to Enjoy

Ubisoft+ is home to every significant Assassin’s Creed title, the full Far Cry series, the Watch Dogs trilogy, and a plethora of other games from Ubisoft’s extensive catalogue. The upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which promises a return to form for the franchise, is slated to land on the subscription platform on release day. This trial gives fans hoping to catch up on the story of protagonist Basim Ibn Ishaq before Mirage the opportunity to explore his introduction in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Special offers and subscription trials are fairly common tactics employed by large game publishers surrounding their major showcase events. This Ubisoft trial may be part of a strategy to provide gamers access to a potential surprise release following Ubisoft Forward.

The unexpected release of Xbox’s well-received Hi-Fi Rush in January has fanned the flames of speculation regarding titles being unveiled and released simultaneously at showcases. Should Ubisoft decide to make a surprise release at its Forward event, it’s likely to be a smaller-scale franchise like Trials, which had previously surprised with the release of Trials of the Blood Dragon in 2016, or perhaps Rayman. Meanwhile, fans can take advantage of their free week of Ubisoft+ as Forward draws nearer.
