Nintendo fans are in for a treat as the acclaimed mobile game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate is making its console debut on the Switch this July.

Developed by Super Evil Megacorp, Splintered Fate has been earning high praise since its initial launch on iOS and Mac last May.

Now, the fast-paced, roguelike action game featuring the iconic crime-fighting turtles is set to bring its unique blend of combat, customisation, and cooperative play to the Nintendo Switch.

According to the announcement, the Switch version of Splintered Fate will feature enhanced visuals and audio compared to its mobile counterpart.

Players will once again take on the roles of Raphael, Leonardo, Donatello, and Michelangelo as they battle to rescue their mentor, Master Splinter, from the clutches of the Foot Clan across a variety of New York City-themed levels.

Roguelike Action, Build System & Co-op Play

Splintered Fate’s gameplay loop is centered around its roguelike elements, which aim to deliver plenty of replayability.

The game also includes a build system that allows players to customise their turtles’ abilities, as well as co-op support for teamwork against the hordes of iconic TMNT villains.

The Switch release comes at an exciting time for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans, with another game, TMNT Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants, set to launch on all major platforms later this month.

Additionally, Outright Games’ TMNT: Mutants Unleashed is also on the horizon, providing even more options for turtle-powered action.

While the Nintendo Switch version of Splintered Fate will be a timed console exclusive, the announcement suggests the title will eventually make its way to other platforms as well.
