Sony has kicked off a fresh PlayStation Store Weekend Offer sale, giving PS4 and PS5 owners another chance to grab big titles at deep discounts. The sale went live on August 29th and runs only until September 1st, making it a short window for anyone looking to expand their library without breaking the bank.
For players holding out on some of the big names, this lineup has plenty to tempt. Red Dead Redemption 2: Ultimate Edition is marked down by 80 percent, GTA 5 is sitting at 67 percent off, and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora can be picked up at its lowest pirce yet. For those after smaller but still notable titles, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is going for the price of a couple of Lattes.
Here are some of the standout deals from the sale:
| Game | Discount | Price |
|---|---|---|
| DRAGON BALL: Sparking! Zero | 30% | £48.99/$48.99 |
| Mortal Kombat 1: Definitive Edition | 60% | £21.99/$27.99 |
| Red Dead Redemption 2: Ultimate Edition | 80% | £19.99/$19.99 |
| Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora | 75% | £17.49/$17.49 |
| LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham | 75% | £3.99/$4.99 |
| Assassin’s Creed Odyssey | 85% | £8.24/$8.99 |
| Kingdom Come: Deliverance | 80% | £4.99/$5.99 |
You can see the full list of titles on the official PlayStation Store, there are seven pages in total, so take your time and browse through at your leisure.

If you’re asking me, these weekend sales are worth jumping on if you missed earlier seasonal events like Days of Play. While not everything here is at its historical lowest, Rockstar’s games rarely drop this hard outside of special occasions, and Red Dead Redemption 2 in particular is still one of the best single-player experiences of the last decade.
Kingdom Come is also a steal at under six dollars/five pounds, though it’s a slower RPG that rewards patience rather than instant action.
What’s interesting, and would be my recommendation, is Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora base game is £17.49/$17.49, yet the Deluxe Edition is £18.74. Literally less than a coffee to get a much better version, so I would grab that if you’re a fan.
The timing is also interesting. Sony has the Ready, Set, Play! sale running at the same time, which features even steeper discounts on some heavy hitters like Cyberpunk 2077 and the Elder Scrolls Oblivion remaster.
Bundling the two sales together creates a wide net, appealing to both players after blockbuster franchises and those who want classic RPGs or more recent hits at bargain prices.
There is also the added factor of a possible September State of Play presentation. If that happens, and Sony uses it to showcase long-awaited updates on titles such as Marvel’s Wolverine and Little Nightmares III before its October release, players might find themselves stacking even more games on their wishlists.
Sales like this are a reminder that Sony tends to line up promotions around announcements, so grabbing these deals now could free up wallets for what’s coming next.
