Silent Hill f Patch 1.10 Makes New Game Plus Easier

Hinako Shimizu in a school uniform stands in a misty forest. The text "Silent Hill f" is at the top, with "New Game+" and "Patch Notes" below.

Key Highlights:

  • Silent Hill f update 1.10 makes New Game Plus runs easier with fewer forced encounters and faster stamina.
  • A new Casual action difficulty offers a gentler option for players who struggled with combat.
  • Konami has also added a skip feature for select NG+ sections, though it comes with trophy limitations.

Konami has rolled out a major balancing update for Silent Hill f, and it should make repeat playthroughs far less of a grind. Patch 1.10 is now live across all platforms and introduces a wide range of tweaks centred around reducing combat pressure, improving stamina recovery, and making NG+ runs more accessible.

Silent Hill f leans heavily on melee encounters, so easing some of that repetition is a welcome change, especially for players chasing the multiple ending routes.

The new Casual action difficulty is the headline addition. It sits beneath Story mode and gives players a lighter challenge from the start of the game or when selected after multiple Game Over screens. From my own playthroughs, the late-game gauntlets could be punishing on repeat runs, so having a more forgiving option makes sense, particularly for newcomers who want to focus on the narrative rather than the combat loop.

One of the biggest quality-of-life improvements is the reduction in unskippable combat encounters across several chapters. Enemy density has been lowered too, and Hinako now takes slightly less damage on Hard difficulty. Stamina regeneration has also been tuned to be faster, which should make dodging and repositioning feel more responsive. These smaller adjustments combine to give the game a smoother pace, especially during sections that previously felt like roadblocks.

For New Game Plus, Konami has added an optional skip mechanic that lets players bypass parts of the mural puzzle sequence once certain conditions are met. It’s a smart addition for anyone hunting for the full ending list, though it comes with the catch that skipped areas won’t grant their collectibles or certain trophies.

It won’t affect branching paths or finales, but trophy completionists will want to approach it carefully.

Silent Hill f has already crossed one million sales since its September launch, and updates like this show that Konami and Neobards are listening to feedback. The game’s shift to 1960s Japan was already a bold step for the series, and smoothing out the replay experience should help more players push deeper into its branching storylines. With multiple endings locked behind successive runs, this patch should make the journey a lot more manageable without losing the tension that defines Silent Hill.
