PlayStation has confirmed the next wave of games joining PS Plus Extra and Premium on 16 December, giving subscribers a strong mix of action, RPGs, family-friendly titles, and a retro favourite for Premium members. It’s been a busy month already across all tiers, with Killing Floor 3, LEGO Horizon Adventures, Neon White, Synduality: Echo of Ada, and The Outlast Trials still available as December’s Essential freebies.

This update is the second catalogue refresh of the month, following Skate Story’s day-one addition on 8 December. That one remains exclusive to Extra and Premium.
PS Plus Extra – December Additions
- Assassin’s Creed Mirage
- Cat Quest 3
- Granblue Fantasy: Relink
- LEGO Horizon Adventures
- Paw Patrol: Grand Prix
- Paw Patrol World
- Planet Coaster 2
- Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty
There’s no-doubt AC Mirage headlines the update and remains one of Ubisoft’s better returning-to-roots entries, while Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty offers a tougher Soulslike alternative. Planet Coaster 2 adds a deep sim option for creative players, and LEGO Horizon Adventures earns a second appearance this month after being included in December’s Essential lineup.
PS Plus Premium – December Addition
- Soulcalibur 3 (PS2)
Premium subscribers get one classic this month, with Soulcalibur 3 arriving via the retro catalogue. The PS2 fighter supports up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom filters, and includes Chronicles of the Sword alongside traditional Soulcalibur modes.
Games Leaving PS Plus on 16 December
- 11-11 Memories Retold
- Arcade Paradise VR
- Battlefield 2042
- Firefighting Simulator: The Squad
- Forspoken
- Grand Theft Auto 3 – The Definitive Edition
- River City Melee Mach!!
- Sonic Frontiers
- Star Trek: Bridge Crew
- Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge
- Surviving Mars
- Touhou Genso Rondo: Bullet Ballet
A few notable losses stand out, including Battlefield 2042, Forspoken, Sonic Frontiers, and GTA 3 from the Definitive Edition trilogy. VR takes a hit as well, with both Arcade Paradise VR and Star Trek: Bridge Crew departing. Though for Grand Theft Auto fans, you most likely picked up GTA 5 when it was free from November’s lineup.
December’s refresh brings a solid mix of genres, a nice balance of new releases and established favourites, and another day-one title already locked in for December. Just make sure you grab anything leaving before the 16th.
