Key Highlights:

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 5 launches on 23 July 2026 with new multiplayer maps, weapons and game modes.
  • The update introduces the FG42 Assault Rifle, Gremlin SMG, Mammoth LMG and the return of Spectre.
  • Zombies, Warzone and Endgame also receive major additions, including a new Survival map and Verdansk’s Drone Labs POI.

Activision has unveiled the full Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 5 roadmap, confirming a substantial content update arriving on 23 July 2026 across multiplayer, Zombies, Warzone and Endgame. The free seasonal update adds new maps, weapons, limited-time modes, operators and events, alongside a fresh Battle Pass and BlackCell rewards.

Multiplayer headlines the update with Jubilee, a brand-new 6v6 map set during a Japanese festival, while fan favourites Frequency from Black Ops 4 and Dig from Black Ops 2 also return at launch. Mid-season, players can expect Turbo Tilt, a miniature pinball-themed battleground inspired by Nuketown, as well as Descent, a new Freerun course designed around Black Ops 7’s movement system.

Season 5 also expands the game’s arsenal with three new primary weapons. The FG42 Assault Rifle offers high damage at the expense of slower handling, while the Gremlin introduces dual-wield submachine guns that trade aiming down sights for mobility and close-range firepower. Completing the trio is the Mammoth LMG, a twin-barrel light machine gun capable of delivering heavy sustained damage.

Players can also unlock the Mace melee weapon, alongside several new weapon conversion kits and attachments released through weekly challenges. These include an EMP-focused modification for the Ager-45, an M1 Garand-inspired conversion for the M34 Novaline, a Thermal Reflex optic and additional weapon upgrades arriving throughout the season.

New multiplayer experiences arrive with Overdrive Domination, Gauntlet Rush and the return of Cranked, giving players a mix of objective-focused and high-speed game types throughout the season.

Outside traditional multiplayer, Zombies players will battle the undead in the new Eidskallen Lighthouse Survival map before the storyline reaches its conclusion later in the season. Warzone also receives a new Drone Labs point of interest on Verdansk, fresh gameplay features and the return of Resurgence Ranked Play. Endgame continues to expand with the Burn Run Assignment and new Ability Boost upgrades.

Season 5’s Battle Pass introduces the returning Spectre operator alongside new weapon blueprints, camos, cosmetics and BlackCell-exclusive rewards. Community events, weekly challenges and Treyarch’s 30th Anniversary celebration will provide additional unlocks across the season.

The roadmap also hints at one of the most varied seasonal updates Black Ops 7 has received so far. Alongside returning multiplayer favourites, the inclusion of World War II-inspired weapons such as the FG42 and an M1 Garand conversion offers an unusual mix of classic firearms and the series’ near-future setting, giving players plenty of new loadout options to experiment with when Season 5 launches next week.
