The latest Xbox Free Play Days promotion is underway, giving players temporary access to five offers across Xbox consoles. This week’s selection includes Metal Gear Solid – Master Collection Version, Tides of Tomorrow, Bleach Rebirth of Souls, Killing Floor 3, and For Honor.
Although Microsoft lists five participating offers, there are technically more than five individual games available. Metal Gear Solid – Master Collection Version includes the original Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, and Metal Gear Solid, including its VR Missions/Special Missions content.
The promotion also has different subscription requirements and end dates. Bleach Rebirth of Souls, Killing Floor 3, and For Honor are available to all Xbox players during their respective free periods. Metal Gear Solid – Master Collection Version and Tides of Tomorrow require Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, or Essential.
Players who purchase an eligible game after trying it can continue from their existing progress. Achievements and Gamerscore earned during Free Play Days are retained, while discounts are also available on some participating games.

The Metal Gear Solid offer provides considerably more than a trial of the 1998 PlayStation classic. Metal Gear Solid – Master Collection Version packages Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake alongside Metal Gear Solid, giving players access to the early stages of Solid Snake’s story within one Free Play Days entry.
This distinction is important because Metal Gear Solid – Master Collection Version should not be confused with the larger Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1. The full collection also contains Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater alongside additional bonus material.
Tides of Tomorrow provides one of the newest games in this week’s promotion. Developed by DigixArt, the choice-driven adventure launched in April 2026 and takes players to Elynd, an ocean-covered planet where humanity is struggling to survive. Its asynchronous multiplayer systems allow the actions of other players to influence information and situations encountered during individual journeys.
Bleach Rebirth of Souls is available without Game Pass during its promotional period. The 3D fighting game features characters including Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, and Byakuya Kuchiki, with combat incorporating signature Zanpakuto abilities and its Konpaku system.
Killing Floor 3 is also available to everyone and arrives with substantially more content than players would have encountered at launch. The co-op FPS is currently in Season 4: Operation Shadow Hunter, featuring an oil-rig map, the Gunslinger perk, new boss Dr. Moorcroft, and Suicidal difficulty.
For Honor has the longest free period of the five offers. Ubisoft is keeping its multiplayer melee game available through 4 August, giving newcomers considerably more time to experience its directional Art of Battle combat system.
The timing coincides with fresh For Honor content. Year 10 Season 2 Title Update 2 arrives on 23 July alongside Arakure, a new Hero joining the roster. Starter Dominion also returns from 23 July to 6 August, giving new players a simplified version of Dominion during much of the free period.
How to Play Xbox Free Play Days Games
Xbox players can find each participating title through the Xbox Store. The available option will depend on the game and account eligibility, with some displaying Free Play Days access and others requiring a qualifying Game Pass membership.
Bleach Rebirth of Souls, Killing Floor 3, and For Honor can be played without Game Pass during their promotional windows. Metal Gear Solid – Master Collection Version and Tides of Tomorrow require Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, or Essential.
The different end dates are worth checking before downloading. Tides of Tomorrow, Bleach Rebirth of Souls, and Killing Floor 3 have the shortest windows, Metal Gear Solid – Master Collection Version remains available slightly longer, and For Honor continues into August.
