Key Highlights:

  • Tower Farm becomes the fifth multiplayer map on October 27 and is free for game owners.
  • Michael Myers skins based on Halloween 5 and Halloween 2018 cost $9.99 each.
  • Michelle and Eugene join as paid Civilians alongside a 14-outfit Halloween costume pack.

Arriving on October 27, Halloween: The Game is getting its first major post-launch content drop, led by the free Tower Farm multiplayer map alongside new Michael Myers skins, Civilians and costumes.

Tower Farm is officially Map #5, expanding the four-map multiplayer line-up available at launch. GLN previously covered East Haddonfield as the fourth and final launch map, making Tower Farm the first location added after release.

Inspired by Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, Tower Farm moves away from Haddonfield’s suburban streets and into open farmland. A filling station acts as a central reference point, with wide roads, cornfields, farmhouses, barns, sheds, roadside ditches and a trailer park spread across the area.

The more exposed layout should create a noticeably different dynamic in 1v4 multiplayer. Civilians have buildings, vegetation and ditches available for cover, but crossing the wider roads and open fields creates longer sightlines for Michael Myers.

What stands out to me is that IllFonic has kept the new playable space outside the paid DLC packs. Tower Farm will be available free to players who own the game, while the October 27 purchases are focused on characters and cosmetics.

Two Michael Myers skins will cost $9.99 each, recreating The Shape from Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers and Halloween (2018). The latter has an unusually direct connection to the films, with Academy Award-winning special effects artist Christopher Nelson supervising the in-game mask design after sculpting Michael’s masks for Halloween (2018), Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends.

Michelle and Eugene will arrive together in a new Civilian Characters Pack priced at $9.99. A separate Civilian Costumes Pack 1 will also cost $9.99 and contains 14 Halloween outfits, one for each character, alongside 42 colour tints.

Buying all four announced paid items would therefore cost $39.96 at the confirmed US pricing. IllFonic has not yet provided UK pricing for the individual DLC packs in its announcement.

The October 27 update will also contain free features, fixes and quality-of-life changes, although IllFonic has not detailed exactly what those additions will be yet.

It follows Patch 1.1.0, released on October 6, which brought crash and performance fixes, balance adjustments and changes intended to slow match pacing. IllFonic describes the October 27 release as the first in a series of post-launch content updates planned across the first year.

Halloween: The Game is available digitally on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. The PS5 and Xbox Series X physical editions also launched on October 6.
