Hello Games released the No Man’s Sky Forsaken update, version 7.10, on 28 October 2026, introducing Halloween-themed scavenging, biomechanical corvette upgrades and seamless travel between nearby star systems.
The free update is available across PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch platforms, alongside the game’s first iPhone and iPad release. The official Forsaken patch notes also detail new missions, interface improvements, bug fixes and platform-specific optimisations.
Forsaken introduces haunting mementos hidden inside derelict freighters, deep-space hulks, infested outposts and planetary dig sites. Prolonged harvesting can attract hostile Boundary Horrors, adding another danger to the salvage process. These locations build directly on the deep-space exploration introduced in the Cosmos update, but now contain valuable biological specimens sought by mysterious collectors.
Players can summon Forsaken Traders at deep-space outposts and exchange their discoveries for new corvette components. Rewards include biomechanical hull structures, cockpits and habitation modules, allowing players to create unsettling organic-looking spacecraft.
Dedicated scavengers can also earn the Larva Tank helmet and Mind Harvester title. Meanwhile, the living Larva Cannon Multi-Tool can be purchased from Forsaken Traders using preserved grubs.
Beyond the Halloween additions, players equipped with a corvette and Gravitino Coil can accept new courier contracts from deep-space outposts. These missions involve transporting packages between destinations for rewards. The new ship components also expand on the corvette construction system introduced in Voyagers.
However, I think seamless warping could prove more significant to everyday exploration than the Halloween-themed rewards. Players can now target nearby stars directly from space and initiate interstellar travel without opening the Galaxy Map. When a mission objective lies in another system, the relevant star also displays a mission marker.
Several quality-of-life additions accompany these changes. A radial Multi-Tool selector makes switching weapons and utilities easier, while a new Minimal HUD mode reduces on-screen information. Deep-space outposts also feature additional Holo-Arena challengers, and players can now upload orbital bases to the shared server for others to visit.
The less prominent patch notes contain some useful improvements, too. Oxygen Harvesters can now be constructed anywhere on a planetary surface, while Xbox Series consoles and VR receive memory optimisations. Hello Games has also addressed several corvette construction, multiplayer and inventory issues.
The update coincides with the arrival of No Man’s Sky on iPhone and iPad. The UK App Store listing offers the opening section for free, followed by a £19.99 one-time purchase to unlock the full game. The download is approximately 3.8 GB, with support beginning at iPhone 11 and third-generation iPad Air devices running compatible operating systems.
There are some important limitations, however. Multiplayer is not supported on iOS at launch, while Planetary Settlements require an iPhone 15 Pro or newer. Hello Games has rebuilt the touch controls for mobile and also supports controllers, with mouse and keyboard input available on iPad.
As of 29 October, Hello Games has already released Forsaken patch 7.11 on Steam. The hotfix addresses crashes associated with using the Space Anomaly teleporter and warping between star systems. The studio says the fixes will reach other platforms as soon as possible, although no specific release date has been confirmed.
