2K Games and Gearbox Software announced on 5 February 2013 that the Borderlands 2: Add-On Content Pack would launch worldwide for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on 26 February.
The physical retail pack brings together several pieces of Borderlands 2 downloadable content that had previously been released digitally, including the Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty and Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage expansions.
Gaige the Mechromancer, Borderlands 2’s fifth playable Vault Hunter, is also included alongside the Creature Slaughter Dome battle arena.
Additional content includes the Gearbox Gun Pack, Skyrocket Grenade, extra character heads and skins, and a Golden Key for opening the Golden Chest in Sanctuary.
The Add-On Content Pack does not include a copy of Borderlands 2 itself, so the base game is required to play the included content.
2K priced the package at $29.99 in North America, with the publisher valuing its separately available content at around $40.
