Although Dead Space 3 is not official out in the UK until Friday 8th February, Electronic Arts have revealed the release date for the first Dead Space 3 DLC pack called awakened.
The news may surprise gamers as downloadable content usually doesn’t get unleashed to the general public until the full game is out. This is not the case at all with EA’s latest title.
The game is out in North America already and even that part of the world must be wondering what’s going on. We are not knocking it though, a DLC being revealed early is a good thing as far as we’re concerned.
EA have said that awakened will have the most disturbing gameplay that has ever before been seen in the survival horror series. The pack will have a very dark theme associated to it.
The full game does generally see more action than horror this time round in the latest game. Awakened is likely to combine both genre’s together to give gripping and terrifying add-on.
Look out for our Dead Space 3 review which is coming on the site shortly and download the demo if you haven’t already. The Awakened DLC pack will have a release date for March 2013 and will be available on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The downloadable content will cost £7 or 800 Microsoft points.
