EA Officially Announce The Sims 4, Due Out 2014

As we predicted yesterday in a post, The Sims 4 has been officially announced by EA Games today. The series creator (Maxis) will return to take up the role of developing the strategy game.

The current entry, (The Sims 3) which was launched in 2009, is regarded as one of the best ever PC video games of all time. This is the first official news that we’ve heard regarding The Sims 4. Additional details are few and far between at the moment, but EA plan on revealing more very soon.

Electronic Arts revealed the upcoming strategic life simulation computer game on their official blog. They added that the strategy game would be available on the Mac and Windows PC sometime in 2014.

The blog post reads:

The Sims franchise is fueled by the passion and creativity of its millions of fans around the world.”

They also added their continued devotion to the franchise ignites the fire of creativity of the team at The Sims Studio, driving them to continually improve and innovate on one of the world’s most successful simulation game that has sold more than 150 million copies worldwide.
