Publisher Sega, have posted their annual financial results in terms of overall sales and Aliens: Colonial Marines made 1.31 million in the biggest surprise from the lot.
Sega’s other titles varied, with Yakuza 5 having sold 590k in Japan and evergreen Football Manager selling close to a million with 940K. The exclusive London 2012 Olympics game managed to get a respectful 680K, which is not that bad. The biggest success for Sega though, was of course Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed.
Their legendary video game character who obviously featured in the game given it’s title, managed to rake in 1.36 million. That sum just about makes it Sega’s best selling video game for last year. The bad news regarding Aliens: Colonial Marines is that the co-developer (Timegate Studios) filed for bankruptcy just last week.
All in all though, not a bad showing for Sega, and we’re sure that they’ll be pleased with the results themselves.
