Square Enix today, has announced that Eidos Montreal’s reboot of the classic espionage game “Thief” will be getting a release date of February 2014 next year. There’s also a brand new Gamescom trailer that’s been launched to go with the news as well, it’s entitled uprising and you can view it below.
In Thief, players take control of main character “Garrett” who’s an expert master thief. The aim of the game is to use stealth and become a shadow, in order to steal from the rich. Violence is not normally Garrett’s approach, but players can use this is needs be.
With regards to the plot, Garrett returns to his hometown after years of being away. As he returns, he realises that a tyrant that’s called “The Baron” has taken over the city that he loves and ruthlessly corrupted it in every single way possible.

The title will be heading your way on February 28th across Europe, and February 25th first in North America on the PS4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC.
