Xbox Game Studios has launched a massive Steam sale offering up to 80% off on a large selection of its PC games available on Valve’s storefront. This collection of discounts comes just a few weeks after Xbox’s big savings on many third-party AAA games.

With over 50 Steam titles and more than 150 pieces of DLC, Xbox Game Studios, formerly known as Microsoft Games, is the publisher of a significant portion of the Steam library. The sale will run for two weeks until the 4th of May.

The XGS Publisher Sale 2023 is now live on Steam, offering up to 80% off on a selection of 39 games and 30 DLC packs. While smaller releases like Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Deadlight, Dust: An Elysian Tail, and Recore: Definitive Edition are available for a few pounds/dollars each with the biggest percentage discounts, the most significant savings are on the publisher’s AAA catalogue. For instance, Forza Horizon 4 has a 67% discount, and Sea of Thieves is 50% off, which translates to £20 and £46 in savings, respectively.

Great Deals At Low Prices

The XGS sale included choose-your-own-adventure game Pentiment dropping to its lowest price so far, with the latest title from Obsidian Entertainment currently available at a 33% discount, or £10.04. Steam users who want to play some classic games without spending a lot of money can take advantage of these discounts to buy Fable Anniversary and Age of Mythology: Extended Edition for under £7 each. Halo spinoffs Spartan Assault and Spartan Strike top those deals by offering a 75% discount, reducing their price to just 62p each.

The critically acclaimed Age of Empires 4 has been given a substantial discount as part of this sale and is now available for £19.19, a 40% reduction from its regular price in dollars. Meanwhile, Gears 5 and Psychonauts 2 can be purchased for £19.99 and £16.79 respectively, 65% less than their usual price. The ongoing sale has also reduced the price of Halo: The Master Chief Collection by 60%, which can now be bought for £13.59.

The sale includes the newly released survival game Grounded, which was developed by Obsidian and launched in September 2022. It is currently available at a discounted price of £29.99, a reduction of 25%. Forza Horizon 5 is notably absent from this sale, but this is likely due to its recent 40% discount during the Steam Spring Sale. Although there are not many DLCs included in this sale, many of the discounted titles are definitive editions that include all additional content for their respective games.
