Two renowned streamers are set to become the newest celebrities to grace the game of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 as Operator skins. The Call of Duty franchise has a rich legacy of incorporating celebrities into their games, ranging from leading film stars and professional sportspeople to the highest-ranking streamers, who game professionally. COD: Warzone 2 is maintaining this tradition, demonstrating appreciation for its sizeable community of influential streamers.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 made its debut in November 2022, representing the franchise’s latest offering in free-to-play battle royale gameplay – a format made famous by PUBG and Fortnite. Within a short span of time, Warzone 2 has successfully carved out a significant niche within the bustling battle royale market. This has been achieved by blending the rapid, high-octane military shooter style synonymous with the Call of Duty franchise with the contracting maps and parachute arrivals characteristic of Fortnite. This cross-pollination of strategies from the two series has facilitated players in introducing some of their Fortnite-like tactics into the COD milieu.

Preserving the custom of providing Operator skins modelled on real-life aficionados of the franchise. The Operator skins of Nickmercs and TimTheTatman, two tremendously popular streamers who routinely feature Warzone 2 in their streaming repertoire, will be up for grabs from 31st May. Furthermore the Call of Duty franchise recently broadened its roster of celebrity Operator skins in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 with the inclusion of NBA star Kevin Durant.

TimTheTatman’s Operator Skin

TimTheTatman launched his Twitch career in 2012, amassing a significant following of over seven million by streaming games such as Counter-Strike, Overwatch, and World of Warcraft. His fame skyrocketed with his Fortnite streams. In terms of real-life resemblance, TimTheTatman’s Operator skin is more accurate than Nickmercs’, primarily due to its minimalist styling. Additionally the skin prominently features TimTheTatman’s signature tattoos, with his face fully visible. Moreover TimTheTatman has joined forces with Nickmercs and a select group of other streamers to create a battle royale game of their own, presently known as Project V.

Nickmercs’ Operator Skin

Similarly Nickmercs, a member and co-owner of the immensely popular FaZe Clan collective of streamers, is known for streaming a diverse range of games. Although Nickmercs and the FaZe Clan primarily focus on battle royale games such as Fortnite, the Call of Duty: Warzone series, and Apex Legends. Nickmercs is an ardent fan of Warzone 2, and his Operator skin derives its design from his personal branding and MFAM clothing range, which are both inspired by the helmets worn by Roman Spartan soldiers.

COD: Warzone 2 is currently available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S PC, PS4 and PS5.
