Epic Games has just unfurled an official sneak peek of the much-anticipated Fortnite Ranked Play.

The gaming giant has launched a promo for the impending Ranked mode, set to hit the Battle Royale. With a tantalising tagline, “Will you rise through the ranks?” the intrigue is certainly escalating.

In the middle of an epic Star Wars themed season and new updates flying about, left, right and centre, it’s a busy time if you’re an avid Fortnite fan. The specifics surrounding this competitive playlist remain shrouded in mystery. However, the teaser does offer a glimpse of eight insignia’s that seem to symbolise specific ranks. It seems we can expect customary rankings, such as Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and so forth.

The forthcoming Fortnite update, v24.40, is slated to go live in the coming week. While it seems a bit ambitious to expect the Ranked feature to be included so swiftly, we can only speculate until Epic Games provides further clarity. Thus, fans are on tenterhooks, eagerly awaiting the imminent patch to glean a possible release date.

Fortnite’s Successful Strides in 2023

The year 2023 has marked a particularly thriving phase for Fortnite in recent memory. We’ve seen the launch of UEFN, the continuous rise of Zero Build, and the introduction of the new Japanese biome in Chapter 4 Season 2, which has been hailed as the best map update in ages.

Yet, there’s a conspicuous absence in Fortnite’s offerings. A competitive Ranked mode that allows players to ascend through various skill divisions beyond Arena. In light of Warzone 2 Ranked’s triumphant debut, it appears that Epic Games is poised to follow a similar trajectory.
