In a New Year’s video message, Monster Hunter series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto hinted at some of the plans to celebrate the iconic action RPG franchise’s 20th anniversary in 2024. While details are still sparse, fans can expect at least a reveal of fan-favourite monsters and themed artwork this March.
Tsujimoto confirmed that the results of a recent fan vote for most popular monsters will be showcased in March, alongside a special new piece of anniversary art spotlighting the top 3 vote-getters. The series’ 20th anniversary website has also been updated with some initial events.
However, Tsujimoto kept further celebrations close to the chest for now. Given the landmark occasion, more activities and content announcements seem likely as the year continues. An update on recently revealed MH Wilds is teased for this summer as well.
The message also touted new sales milestones for two of the most acclaimed entries – Monster Hunter Rise has surpassed 13 million sold, while MH World sits at 23 million units moved.
MSI Collabs Showcase Rathalos Theming
Additionally, MSI revealed new Monster Hunter themed PC components and peripherals, featuring the iconic wyvern Rathalos. These include aGPU, case, motherboard and more for the ultimate MH setup.
