Key Highlights:

  • Hitman World of Assassination is adding a new Elusive Target starring Eminem on 1 December.
  • Agent 47 works alongside Eminem to eliminate Slim Shady inside a reimagined Hokkaido facility.
  • A paid cosmetic pack, Eminem vs Slim Shady, will also be available throughout December.

Agent 47 is getting one of his wildest celebrity crossovers yet in Hitman World of Assassination. IO Interactive has confirmed that Eminem will lead the next Elusive Target mission, with the contract tasking players to take down his own chaotic alter ego, Slim Shady. The mission arrives on 1 December and is free for all players across Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.

In this episode, Agent 47 teams up with Eminem as a fellow operative. The setup is similar to the recent Bruce Lee mission, where the celebrity acts as an ally rather than a target. IO has transformed the familiar Hokkaido map into the Popsomp Hills Asylum, a distorted medical complex filled with surreal imagery, hidden references and a version of Slim Shady who broadcasts erratic performances to staff and inmates.

IO describes the design as a mix of psychological misdirection and dreamlike shifts. From what I have seen from the above trailer, the mission leans heavily into Slim Shady’s unpredictable persona.

There is a recording studio, a twisted group therapy space, and a reworked operating theatre used as a live broadcast room. It looks like one of the most creative reconfigurations of an existing Hitman level since the Halloween and Greed remixes, only pushed much further.

The mission will be live for a limited period, though IO has not yet specified how long it will remain active.

Alongside the free contract, players can pick up the Eminem vs Slim Shady Pack from 1 to 31 December for £3.99. It includes a themed suit, four mission-tied items and cosmetic additions for your safehouse. Based on previous celebrity packs, expect a mix of novelty gear and references only long-time fans of Eminem will catch.

This appearance puts Eminem in the same company as Jean-Claude Van Damme, Sean Bean, Gary Busey, Le Chiffre and Bruce Lee, all of whom have been featured as special Hitman contracts over the last decade. It also marks a rare case where the objective is not the celebrity themselves, but a fictional persona.

IO has leaned into that angle completely, and the result looks like one of the most inventive Elusive Targets the series has ever hosted.
