Hitman World of Assassination has officially made its way to iPhone and iPad, bringing Agent 47’s full sandbox experience to Apple’s mobile devices.
IO Interactive has packed the complete trilogy into this version, meaning every one of the 25 locations is playable from the start. Whether it’s Paris, Berlin, or Miami, players can carry out assassinations with the same freedom the series is known for.

What makes this release stand out is the work IOI has done to adapt the controls. Touch input has been redesigned around context-sensitive buttons that respond dynamically to the environment, and in my experience that matters more than people realise.
Too many console-to-mobile ports suffer from clunky touchscreen layouts, but IOI has taken the time to build a system that feels natural. For players who prefer something more tactile, third-party controller support is fully available.
On the visual side, the port benefits from Apple’s MetalFX upscaling, helping to preserve the detail and atmosphere of the console version. It’s not a stripped-down experience, which is often the case with big-budget games going mobile.
Availability and Price
The full game is available on iPhone and iPad for £69.99 / $69.99 / €69.99. Each location can also be purchased separately for £2.99 / $2.99 / €2.99, giving players the option to dip into a mission without committing to the entire package.
To help players test the waters, the ICA Facility training mission and the Sebastian Principle Escalation in Dubai are free. IO Interactive has also included a launch bonus with the Black Turtle Streak Suit.
Supported Devices
- iPhone 16 models
- iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max
- iPad Pro (M1 chip or later)
- iPad Air (M1 chip or later)
- iPad mini (A17 Pro)
It’s worth pointing out that support is limited to Apple’s most recent hardware. That will frustrate some fans, but it also explains why IOI has been able to preserve the game’s scale and fidelity.
Upcoming Content
Freelancer mode, the roguelike-inspired layer of the game, will be added later this year through an update. This is the most replayable part of World of Assassination in my view, so it’s a feature to keep an eye on once it rolls out on iOS.
The Season of the High-Stakes is also underway, adding fresh content for veteran players. The Le Chiffre Elusive Target, inspired by the Casino Royale villain, is live until September 14th and marks the first time an Elusive Target has been playable on iPhone and iPad. More Challenges, Feature Contracts, and Twitch Drops are lined up for the weeks ahead.
Hitman on iPhone and iPad isn’t a scaled-down experiment, it’s the full experience, and that’s what makes it interesting. I’ve seen plenty of big franchises arrive on mobile over the years, but very few keep the depth intact.
This version of World of Assassination is priced like a premium release, but it also plays like one.
