Key Highlights:

  • A new leak claims the Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition will cost €899.99 in Europe and launch on November 27.
  • Microsoft has only officially confirmed a November release in select markets, so the leaked price and exact launch date remain unannounced.
  • The anniversary console has the same 1TB storage capacity as the standard Series X, making the reported €100 premium primarily about its limited-edition design and bundled X25 controller.

Microsoft’s translucent green Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition will reportedly launch on November 27 with a €899.99 price in Europe, according to new information from Dealabs leaker billbil-kun.

The US price is expected to be $899.99, although that figure has not been independently confirmed by Microsoft. UK pricing also remains unknown.

The X25 retains the underlying hardware of the standard Xbox Series X, including a 1TB SSD and disc drive, while replacing its black exterior with Microsoft’s anniversary design. The company has yet to announce an exact release date, retail price or preorder schedule.

If the new leak is accurate, November 27 places the console directly on Black Friday.

The €899.99 price would put a €100 premium on the anniversary machine compared with the standard 1TB Xbox Series X with a disc drive, which rose to €799.99 earlier this month.

That comparison is particularly notable because the X25 does not increase internal storage.

Microsoft’s official specifications confirm that the limited edition contains a 1TB SSD and retains the performance of the existing Xbox Series X. Its main differences are instead concentrated on the hardware design.

The console uses a translucent “OG Green” shell inspired by the original Xbox, while its front carries special Xbox 25 branding. The illuminated X on top also glows green as another reference to Microsoft’s first console.

A matching Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition is included with the system.

The controller continues the anniversary theme with translucent green casing, the original Xbox ABXY colours and bumpers inspired by the black and white buttons found on the original Duke controller. Its transparent rear and battery door also expose parts of the internal hardware.

I think the 1TB capacity is the detail that makes the reported €899.99 price more difficult to ignore, because buyers would be paying the premium for the anniversary design rather than additional storage or increased console performance.

The timing also follows an unusually steep increase in Xbox hardware prices.

Microsoft raised console prices worldwide on August 1 after warning that storage and memory costs had increased by more than 2.5 times. The company said those costs could double again by autumn 2027.

The standard 1TB disc-based Series X consequently moved from €599.99 to €799.99 in Europe. Its UK price increased from £499.99 to £669.99, while the US model moved to $799.99.

Microsoft is also discontinuing the 2TB Galaxy Black Series X as part of the changes.

That means the leaked X25 price is not €300 above the price of a normal Series X as it would have been only weeks ago. Following Microsoft’s latest increases, the reported anniversary premium is €100.

There is another unusual comparison at €899.99.

Sony increased the European price of the PlayStation 5 Pro to €899.99 in April, which would place the two consoles at the same recommended price if the X25 leak proves accurate.

Their hardware propositions are different, however. The Xbox Series X25 includes a disc drive but has a 1TB SSD, while the PS5 Pro ships with 2TB of storage and requires Sony’s optional disc drive for physical games.

The Series X25 also arrives almost exactly 25 years after the original Xbox.

Microsoft’s first console launched in North America on November 15, 2001. The company revealed the X25 collection during its June 2026 Xbox Games Showcase as part of a wider celebration of that anniversary.

The matching standalone X25 controller is reportedly arriving earlier than the console.

A separate billbil-kun leak claims the controller will launch on October 20 for $79.99, £74.99 and €79.99, with preorders beginning around Microsoft’s Gamescom activity on August 26.

Those controller details and the newly reported Series X25 price remain leaks rather than official Microsoft announcements.

For now, Microsoft has committed only to releasing the Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition with its matching controller in select markets during November. If the November 27 and €899.99 details are confirmed, the anniversary system will launch on Black Friday at the same European price as a PS5 Pro.
