Revelations takes a step back and throws in game-play from the earlier installments from the much followed survival horror series. The game will be set in the year 2005, which will be between the Resident Evil 4 and 5 titles.

The game follows the exploits of series protagonists Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield, who are members of the bioterrorism-fighting organization, the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA). The story revolves around their investigation of a biohazard incident aboard a cruise ship called the Queen Zenobia.

Revelations introduces the “Raid Mode,” a cooperative gameplay mode where players can team up online or locally to take on various missions and challenges. This mode allows players to earn experience points, unlock new characters, and upgrade weapons as they progress.
