There’s a brand new Battlefield 4 trailer now available to view, and it shows off some of the new gameplay and the highly anticipated Frostbite 3 Engine that’s going to be used for the visuals of the game.
The footage is for a TV ad entitled Accolades, that shouldn’t stop you however, as the minute long video will give a clear indication of exactly what to expect come this fall.
Battlefield 4 is developed by DICE (Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment) and published by Electronic Arts. It will be released as the sequel to Battlefield 3 and is part of the long-running Battlefield franchise.
The game is set in a modern military environment and features both single-player and multiplayer modes. The single-player campaign follows the story of Sergeant Daniel Recker, a member of an elite U.S. Special Forces squad known as “Tombstone.” Players engage in a series of missions across various locations, facing off against enemy forces and navigating intense combat situations.
One of the defining features of Battlefield 4 is its emphasis on vehicular warfare. Players can pilot various vehicles, such as tanks, helicopters, jets, and boats, adding an additional layer of strategic gameplay to the battles. The game also introduces “Levolution,” a dynamic and interactive environment that allows players to trigger events such as collapsing buildings, flooding streets, or changing the landscape during gameplay.
The first-person shooter is out in Brazil and North America on October 29th, October 31st in Japan and Australia, and November 1st 2013 in Europe for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Windows PC. The next-gen versions will be out before the end of this current year.
