The official PlayStation 4 release date was revealed by Sony’s Andrew House during the company’s gamesom 2013 press conference this afternoon.

He also discussed details on other cool facts such as, well over 1 million people have already pre-ordered the next-gen console to date, and the console will be launching in over 32 countries this fall.
Sony also announced that 33 launch titles will become available at the end of this year as well as support for Twitch which is simply activated by pressing the Share Button on the new DualShock 4.
That’s not all, over 15 Blu-ray titles that are developed by various software developers and publishers which include SCE Worldwide Studios, will be released between when the PS4 goes live, and the last day of the year on the 31st of December.

At this present moment in time, there are more than 180 different PlayStation 4 titles that are in development. With the likes of Diablo 3, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Destiny, Witcher 3 and many more.
Since the month of June 2013 just a couple of months ago, the number of developers that have jumped on board the PS4 developing train has risen from almost 500 to 625.
PS4 Release Date (Official)
The PlayStation 4 has been confirmed for a November 15th release in North America, and in Latin America, Europe and Australia on November 29th. It will be priced at $399/ €399/£349. A full list of countries with there respected dates are list below:
- November 15 for the USA and Canada
- November 29 for Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom
- Also November 29 for Latin America which includes the countries of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama and Peru.
