Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Apocalypse will make it’s debut and premier it’s first official piece of footage on Major League Gaming’s website. The upcoming downloadable content pack will be broadcast on the MLG site, and also on it’s Twitch channel as well on August 24th.
Hosted in MLG’s New York studio, the show will see Eight pro MLG players showcase the new DLC and a special interview with David Vonderhaar from Treyarch. The new zombie map will be shown, along with the other four additional multiplayer maps.
The Apocalypse DLC includes four multiplayer maps and a Brand new Zombies experience
- Pod: Set in a failed utopian community, Pod takes place in a tight, circular, and vertical environment with various vantage points and elevated positions.
- Frost: Frost is set in a snow-covered European city with a bridge, a frozen canal, and various buildings. The map features long sightlines and multiple flanking routes.
- Takeoff: Takeoff is a reimagined version of the Stadium map from “Call of Duty: Black Ops: First Strike” DLC. It is set in an abandoned launch site for the Soviet space program with rocket structures and elevated positions.
- Dig: Dig is set in an archaeological site in Afghanistan and features a close-quarters environment with multiple pathways and tight corners.
Additionally, the Apocalypse DLC includes the final chapter of the “Origins” Zombies storyline:
Apocalypse will be arriving on the Xbox 360 first on August 27th, and it’ll land on all other major platforms soon after.
