Fortnite enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the release of the first major update of Season 2, which will bring a brand new Easter event to the Battle Royale game mode. This comes after the big announcement of Creative 2.0 last week and the Unreal Engine presentation that will change the face of gaming forever!

Epic Games, the developers of Fortnite, are set to launch a new update for Chapter 4, Season 2, known as Fortnite update 24.10. This update will be available on March 29 on PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Android. As update 24.10 is a numbered update, it will come with an extended period of server downtime. The game will be taken offline completely at 9 am BST UK time, although matchmaking will be disabled shortly before that. Epic Games announced the news on Twitter and gave a preview of what to expect when it launches soon.
One of the tweets by Epic Games reads,
“What do you call an egg who has visited all of the POI’s? An eggs-plorer”
Based on this tweet, Epic Games is expected to launch the Easter event in Battle Royale, which will likely include an egg launcher weapon, an egg hunt, Easter challenges, and bonus cosmetics. Fans can also anticipate new augments, cosmetics, and the release of some kind of smart pistol weapon, according to insiders like Shiina.
The patch notes for Fortnite update 24.10 are listed below, which include fixes for issues like missing zip lines in Party Royale and back blings appearing detached from the Highwire outfit in Battle Royale. Additionally, wind currents are temporarily disabled across the Battle Royale map due to an issue, and some Android devices may be capped at 60 FPS despite selecting 90 FPS.
