With the summer launch of Street Fighter 6 fast approaching, the anticipation is rising. For many gamers, this is one of the most highly anticipated releases of the year. Despite the disappointment of Street Fighter: Duel, fans remain excited. As a result, a special edition of the game is now available: the Steelbook Edition.
As we received confirmation of the Street Fighter 6 launch date, we also learned about the release of three different editions of the game – Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate. However, there is still no word on the highly anticipated Street Fighter 6 Deluxe Ultimate Turbo Hyper* Gold edition.
A Summer Of Fighting
The all-time classic fighting game still has millions of fans all around the globe and it’s going to be a summer of fighting with it’s direct competitor and long-term rival (The Tekken Series) launching Tekken 8 so close together.
Since its debut a whopping 35 years ago, the Street Fighter series has sold well over 47 million units. The latest iteration, Street Fighter 6, will feature three very distinct game modes: Battle Hub, World Tour and Fighting Ground. Upon its release, the game will have 18 totally unique characters available to choose from. However, players can expect more characters to be added via downloadable content. The Deluxe Edition includes a ‘Year 1 Character Pass’ as part of the package, which contains four characters.
At the moment, the Street Fighter 6 steelbook is available for pre-order in the UK and North America, with details pending for other regions. It’s worth noting that the steelbook appears to be exclusive to a particular retailer in both of these areas. The Street Fighter 6 steelbook is exclusively available at GAME in the United Kingdom. If you want to get it, make sure to choose the steelbook option when pre-ordering the Standard edition.
For North American residents you will need to purchase the Steelbook outright for around $10 give or take and it’s currently only sold at BestBuy.
Street Fighter 6 will be out in June of this year for the PlayStation 4, PS5, Windows PC and Xbox Series S/X.
