How to Find the Hoodie in Sons of the Forest

A black and turquoise hoodie floats in a forest with a campsite behind, featuring a tent and various supplies. "Hoodie Location" text present.

Key Highlights:

  • The Hoodie gives medium cold protection and solid Comfort for faster stamina recovery when resting.
  • Two spawn locations in the western half of the island, both inside cannibal camps.
  • Can be worn by you or given to Kelvin for extra flexibility.

The Hoodie is a practical pick for day-to-day work in Sons of The Forest. I use it when building or sorting storage because the Comfort bonus helps stamina bounce back faster on a bed or chair.

It is not as warm as the Winter Jacket, but the thermal resistance is enough for most chilly mornings, and swapping to heavier gear is only needed in snow or storms.

There are two confirmed spawns. The first is in the northwest, in the big cannibal camp near the Shotgun grave. Look under the tents beside the mattress. This camp can be busy, so thin patrols or pull enemies one at a time.

Knight V can also appear here, which makes the trip worth it even if you already have a hoodie.

The second is near the Shovel cave. From the cave entrance, follow the dirt path along the stream that runs to the ocean. You will hit a smaller cannibal camp with fewer enemies. Check inside the tents for the Hoodie.

If it is not in either spot, sweep other camps in the western half of the island. Loot can vary between saves, so keep checking while you explore.

To pick it up, walk to the clothing and press E. Open your inventory to equip it. You can also gift the Hoodie to Kelvin through the companion hand-off menu if you want him a bit warmer around camp. That makes him more reliable during long build days when the temperature drops.

Small tips that help. Save at a tent before looting large camps. If you are short on capacity, dump non-essentials, grab the Hoodie, then come back for circuit boardsclothtaperopewire, and cash once things calm down. Mark the area with a tarp and stick so it shows on the GPS for later runs.

If you plan to work through a cold night, pair the Hoodie with indoor fires or lights for passive warmth and visibility. Swap to the Winter Jacket only when blizzards or high-altitude trips demand it. For regular base tasks, the Hoodie is the sweet spot between warmth and Comfort.
