Key Highlights:
- Destroy the Blue Medallions 3 appears at the Castle Gate in Chapter 7 of Resident Evil 4 Remake.
- Leon must shoot six medallions positioned around the ruined battlements and cannon towers.
- Completing the request rewards five Spinels for the Merchant’s exclusive stock.
This Resident Evil 4 Remake Merchant Request becomes available as soon as Leon reaches the Castle Gate after surviving the catapult assault. A Blue Request Note attached to the wall highlights that six medallions are hidden across the battlements and nearby towers. Reading the note marks them on the map, making the search more manageable during the Castle’s opening segment.

Checking the Handy Blue Request Note
Near the main Castle Gate entrance, check the right-hand wall to find the Blue Request Note. Reading it logs the task and places markers on the map for each medallion. I always grab the note before clearing enemies because navigating the battlements becomes easier once you know exactly which routes to prioritise.
Medallion #1 – North Ruins Window
The first medallion hangs in a small rectangular window amidst the ruins along the area’s northern end. Refer to the map above to find your starting point. Players can shoot it while standing near the door by the northwestern tower or right from the bridge leading to the cannon tower.
Medallion #2 – Next to the Cannon
Return to the raised cannon platform marked by the yellow banner. Look beneath the sheltered arch beside the cannon platform to find the second emblem. It’s low enough to shoot cleanly without repositioning the cannon.
Medallion #3 – Above the Elegant Bangle Chest
Next, just past the Elegant Bangle chest location, medallion 3 hangs overhead between support beams. Fire a precise shot upward from the ground below or all the way from the southern tower’s bridge.
Medallion #4 – Hanging Among Trees
This one takes sharp eyes! From the southern cannon tower bridge, peer down left toward the forest. Climb up the ladder and Medallion 4 barely glints amongst the leaves of a faraway tree. Move further along the bridge for an optimal angle.
Medallion #5 – Northwestern Tower
After entering the door near the northwestern tower, a chest at the back contains the elusive Elegant Bangle treasure. To the left sits the 5th medallion, waiting to be blasted off the wall. Though, make sure to use your knife on this one to save on ammunition as it’s by far the easiest of the lot.
Medallion #6 – Cannon Tower Mechanism
Return to the cannon tower interior where Leon originally activated the counterweight. The final medallion rotates next to the moving gears of the cannon mechanism. Circle the device to line up a clean shot.
IMPORTANT: This request should be completed before you move deeper into the Castle Gate and follow the route towards the Grand Hall. Some medallions become unreachable once the area transitions, so destroy all six before pushing forward through the battlements.
Finishing the request grants five Spinels from the Merchant. I always finish this one as soon as I reach the Castle Gate. It only takes a few minutes and the Spinels help smooth out the early Castle upgrades, especially if you rely on the Red9 handgun or the Riot Gun.
