Chapter 1
Request #1 Destroy the Blue Medallions (Farm)
This is the first optional merchant request in the RE4 Remake and returns the iconic shooting challenge from the original game. Once the barn fight settles at the Village Farm, Leon can begin clearing the area by shooting the hanging blue medallion targets found around the outdoor farmyard.
- Location: Village Farm
- Reward: 3 Spinels
- Objective: Break 5 blue medallions
Breaking all five targets completes your first Merchant Request and moves the progression towards Chapter 2’s Pest Control assignment.
Chapter 2
Request #2 Pest Control (Abandoned Factory)
After unlocking the tunnel gate beyond the Farm, Leon gains access to the old waste treatment Abandoned Factory. While exploring and battling Ganados, remain alert for the telltale blue request note posted along a grim hallway, which assigns the second favour:
- Location: Abandoned Factory
- Reward: 3 Spinels
- Objective: Exterminate 3 infected rats
Once you have found all three Abandoned Factory rat locations and completed the Pest Control request, your next Merchant job will be Viper Hunter.
Chapter 3
Request #3 Viper Hunter
Once Leon obtains the Insignia Key and returns to the Town Hall, he can collect a Blue Request Note downstairs that starts the Viper Hunter assignment. This job focuses on finding and selling three Vipers that appear across early Village areas.
- Location: Town Hall
- Reward: 4 Spinels
- Objective: Sell 3 Viper snake meats
After completing the Town Hall Viper Hunter favour by handing in three Vipers, progression continues with Grave Robber, which starts in the Church graveyard area.
Request #4 Grave Robber
Outside the Church entrance, Leon can collect the Blue Request Note that begins the Grave Robber assignment. This request takes place in the graveyard beside the Church and requires players to locate two matching tombstones and break the engraved emblems.
- Location: Church Graveyard
- Reward: 2 Spinels
- Objective: Destroy twin tomb emblems
After picking up the note, head into the graveyard and search for the two matching headstones marked with identical Los Illuminados-style carvings.
Break both symbols using either a knife or firearm to complete the assignment. Once the cemetery emblem puzzle is complete, you can move on to Destroy the Blue Medallions 2 next.
Request #5 Destroy the Blue Medallions 2 (Quarry)
After leaving the Church region and progressing into the Quarry, Leon can find another Blue Request Note that starts this medallion assignment. This one spans across both the Quarry and the connected Fish Farm zone, and requires breaking a total of five blue medallion targets.
- Location: Quarry
- Reward: 4 Spinels
- Objective: Break 5 Blue Medallions
Three of the targets are hidden around the Fish Farm, while one hangs high on the Quarry scaffolding, and one sits beneath a dock structure in the farm area. Collecting the note first enables map markers, making it much easier to locate every target. After breaking all five medallion locations across the Quarry and Fish Farm, progression continues with Egg Hunt in Chapter 4.
Chapter 4
Request #6 Egg Hunt
After defeating Del Lago and gaining boat access at Mural Cave, Leon can find a Blue Request Note on the wall beside the docking point. This one tasks him with locating a rare Golden Egg hidden somewhere around the lake-side chicken area and selling it back to the Merchant.

- Reward: 3 Spinels
- Objective: Obtain and sell 1 rare Golden Egg
After completing the Egg Hunt request, Leon can turn his attention to another lake task that requires catching the rare Lunker Bass found in a set spot near the Boat House.
Request #7 Catch Me a Big Fish
After unlocking the lake and opening the Insignia Gate at the Lakeside Settlement, Leon can read a Blue Request Note pinned to a wooden beam. Disgrace of the Salazar Family
- Location: Ramparts Overlook – Throne Room

After completing this Castle task, the next Merchant favour surfaces in the early island section a couple of chapters later in Chapter 14, where Leon enters Facility 1 Storage.

Clearing this side mission sets up the game’s final Merchant task in Chapter 15, focused on locating five medallions across the collapsing cliff paths.

The final Merchant Request lurks on the emerging Cliffside Ruins along the raging river, presenting a familiar final job in the main game:
- Location: Cliffside Ruins
- Reward: 5 Spinels
- Objective: Obliterate 5 arcane emblems
The targets sit across archways, scaffolding, upper walkways and the lower tunnel system, making them easy to collect in a single sweep before advancing deeper into the facility.
With all 19 Resident Evil 4 Remake Merchant Requests thoroughly completed over the journey, Leon Kennedy earns ample Spinels to purchase powerful weapons, expansions, and gear from the Merchant’s elite stock. This prepares him to tackle the threats ahead, as long as players act fast before leaving chapters permanently! Stay focused, and no favour shall go unfinished.
