Key Highlights:

  • New Undisputed hotfix (1.4.4) rolls out across PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
  • Addresses key gameplay bugs and rebalances stamina-based damage.
  • Andy Ruiz, David Benavidez, and Sugar Ray Leonard receive speed adjustments.

Steel City Interactive has deployed a fresh hotfix for Undisputed, addressing a wave of gameplay and stability issues. The patch is now live on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and brings targeted fixes aimed at improving both core mechanics and character performance.

The update follows the release of the Mexican Monster DLC, which added seven new fighters to the game’s growing roster, most notably former world heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr, whose 2019 victory over Anthony Joshua remains one of the sport’s most talked-about upsets.

As part of the hotfix, Ruiz has received increased punch speed and an adjusted in-game rating, bringing his performance more in line with his real-world attributes. Fellow fighters David Benavidez and Sugar Ray Leonard (1987) also benefit from upgraded punch speed in this update.

Gameplay has been fine-tuned with a stronger focus on stamina, counterplay, and momentum. The developers have adjusted punch damage scaling with stamina and reworked the Flash KO system, bringing back a mechanic that better rewards players for landing clean power or counter shots – particularly when their opponent is drained.

This return of the Flash KO mechanic aims to more accurately reflect the dynamics of real-world boxing, where timing and precision often outweigh sheer volume.

Matchmaking and animation inconsistencies have also been addressed.

The patch resolves long-standing bugs such as punches missing dazed opponents, evade states lasting too long, and power uppercuts stretching unrealistically in close range. Stability improvements have been made to support a smoother online experience.

Character Creator enhancements have also arrived. Classic movesets for Jack Dempsey and Jack Johnson are now available, while new Vintage Collection cosmetics expand the customisation pool for players who want to give their fighters a retro edge. Take a look at the official patch notes below:

Undisputed Update 1.4.4 Patch Notes

GAMEPLAY FIXES
