Baldur’s Gate 3 players on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 now have access to a major new wave of user-generated content.
Following the introduction of official mod support in Patch 7, console users can now browse and install a curated set of 26 mods directly via the in-game mod manager. This latest drop adds variety, depth, and replay value, opening the door to experiences previously exclusive to PC.
With Larian Studios stepping away from active development after Patch 8, community-driven content has become the driving force behind Baldur’s Gate 3’s ongoing evolution.
While PC players have enjoyed modding freedom since launch, console support arrived later in Patch 7 due to the structured rollout process on platforms like PlayStation and Xbox. Even so, this latest batch offers a meaningful boost to what players can experience without altering the core game.
As first reported by TheGamer, one of the standout additions is Night With Drow, a mod that finally allows players to pursue a romance with Minthara without choosing the violent path of attacking the Emerald Grove. It provides an alternative narrative route that many players have been requesting since launch.
Also notable is Daughter of Selune, which enables players to acquire Dame Aylin’s signature weapon and armour, enhancing the sense of divine power and roleplay for Selûnite characters.
Others include new subclasses like Circle of Blood for Druids, Graviturgy Magic for Wizards, and College of Tragedy for Bards, all of which introduce fresh tactical options and flavour to character builds.
Not all mods are gameplay-altering. Some, such as Coquette Boo: Replacer, provide light-hearted cosmetic tweaks, giving the iconic hamster Boo a pink bow. Others improve utility, like ASE Glamping, which brings vendors and bankers to the camp, or Kira Player Housing, which adds a new treehouse resting space.

This wave of mods signals a strong start for what’s expected to be a growing ecosystem of content on consoles. As seen with RPG’s like The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Divinity: Original Sin II have shown that sustained modding support can extend a game’s lifespan by years, and BG3, with its intricate systems and narrative depth, is similarly well-suited for ongoing community modifications that could enhance its longevity.
The fact that this RPG won GOTY in 2023 too, means it has a huge fan-base that still craves content.
With its second anniversary approaching and Larian stepping back, modding has become the primary engine for innovation and experimentation.
Players who haven’t returned since their first campaign may now find compelling reasons to reroll, romance new companions, or reimagine their characters with unique race and class combinations.
