One of the newest updates for Sons of the Forest finally added another piece of clothing to track down, the Stewardess Outfit. It doesn’t offer game-changing stats, but like the Tuxedo, it’s more about novelty and letting players dress up themselves or companions.
For those of us who remember the first game, this feels like a nod back to the pilot’s uniform that was tucked away in the original crash site.
The outfit is located at a new plane wreck POI. Head to the northern edge of the snowy mountain, just south of the golf course. The wreck isn’t marked on your GPS, but the easiest way to orient yourself is by looking for the crevice that runs between the mountain ridges with a river cutting through it. The crash sits near that water line, and once you’re close, the broken fuselage is easy to spot against the snow.
Inside the wreck, you’ll find the Stewardess Outfit. Just interact to collect it and it will appear in the bottom right of your inventory. You can equip it immediately or hand it off to Kelvin if you’d prefer him to model it. Interestingly, unlike other clothing items, you can’t currently gift it to Virginia, which may change in a future patch, but as of this writing, she cannot wear it.
For me, the funniest part was giving the dress to Kelvin. Seeing him carry logs in a formal dress doesn’t exactly make the island feel less cursed, but it’s the kind of small cosmetic touch that breaks up the grim atmosphere of cannibals and cave dives.
The outfit doesn’t provide meaningful warmth or protection like the Winter Jacket, but if you enjoy customising your companions or want another clothing option for yourself, it’s worth the detour.
You’ll likely pass near this area when exploring the golf course or mountain paths anyway, so adding the Stewardess Dress to your collection is an easy win.
